Band – Lessons for today are as follows:

Period 1 - Kindergarten Here I Come

Period 3 - The Lion King 

Period 5 - The Muffin Man

*A reminder that there will be a PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE rehearsal today after school until 3:40 p.m. 

**A reminder that there will be a COMBINED Band rehearsal tomorrow, Friday, after school until 3:25 p.m.  for all members.  Please see Mr. Clark if you have a conflict beforehand.

Congratulations to the members of the VMS jazz band on an outstanding performance last night at the Ramapo Jazz night. You experienced a very special musical moment that you should be very proud of! A special thank you to Mr. Blanken and Mr. Creegan, as well, for their help and support last night! 

Choir - Show Choir Altos will meet today during Period 7 by the stage.

*Concert Choir members auditioning for a Hamilton solo will meet after school today until 3:30 in Room 15. 

 

Orchestra - Lessons today are as follows:

Period 8: Furiously Happy

There will be an orchestra rehearsal for all members tomorrow morning at 7:15.

 

Guitar Club - meets today from 2:45-3:35. Please contact Mr. Creegan with any questions.

 

Drama Club - meets today until 4:15pm, and Friday until 4pm. Please check Google Classroom to see which scenes will be rehearsed. Please email Mrs. Latka, Ms. Smolenski, and Mr. Noonan if you cannot attend.

 

Attention ALL student council members! There will be a brief student council meeting at 2:45 today in Room 301. Please reach out to Mrs. Festa or Ms. Smolenski with any questions. 

 

The Valley Middle School Panhellenic Games are back and better than ever! Next Friday, April 17th... just in time for Spring Break!  Eighth grade students will be divided into city-states to compete in a full day of academic and athletic competition.  This morning, Grade Eight Homeroom teachers should share with their student’s which city-state they will represent.  Students with any questions should reach out to Mr. Cohen or Mr. Hausch with any questions.  Looking forward to a day of indelible memories for all.

 

Environmental Club - meets Friday from 2:45-4:00PM in Room 303. 

 

Bowling Club – meets Wednesday, April 15th from 2:45-4:00. See Ms. Binder or Ms. Latka with any questions. 

 

Girls Flag Football = meets today from 2:45 - 4:00.

 

Track – will practice today until 3:45PM.

 

Tennis - Now that we have great weather and newly resurfaced tennis courts, the VMS Tennis Club is about to begin. Ms. McCallum will have 5 tennis club meetings on the following Wednesdays after school from 2:45 to 4 PM on April 15, 29 and May 6, 13, & 20. Anyone interested in playing tennis, whether you're a pro or a beginner, pick up a permission slip on the bulletin board, get it signed, and hand it in to Ms. McCallum. You must have a medical clearance on file in order to participate. Everyone is welcome to play!

 

Chocolate Club - will have its LAST session of the year on Tuesday, April 14th! The first 10 students to hand in their permission slip & money will be able to attend. Permission slips & money are due on Monday, April 13th.
